Especially as we head towards the end of the year and market participants start drifting away and volume drops off. Clearly the holidays haven&#8217;t quite started yet, because Wednesday gave us this lovely short on AYX:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1000\" height=\"864\" src=\"https:\/\/daytradingfreedom.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Image-12-12-2019-10-06.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-736\" srcset=\"https:\/\/daytradingfreedom.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Image-12-12-2019-10-06.png 1000w, https:\/\/daytradingfreedom.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Image-12-12-2019-10-06-300x259.png 300w, https:\/\/daytradingfreedom.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Image-12-12-2019-10-06-768x664.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 767px) 89vw, (max-width: 1000px) 54vw, (max-width: 1071px) 543px, 580px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>That drop from the open was fairly epic (can something be <em>fairly<\/em> epic, or is that an oxymoron?). Anyway, it was a big old drop, so when volume built and it went for it again, it was well worth taking a shot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That shot worked out pretty well. This was a long trade for me (in terms of time, not direction obviously), lasting more than half an hour. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The exit was well signaled with a bounce and a push up in volume showing a change of momentum. The single cent slippage messed up my nice round number exit, but with $4,120 profit in the pot I&#8217;m not going to complain too much. Sure, it wasn&#8217;t quite the lofty heights of KRTX, but it was an unexpectedly sizable winner nonetheless.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I feel like we&#8217;ve been spoilt for big winners this past month.
